SKID STEER RIPPER

The Blue Diamond® Skid Steer Ripper is designed to break up hard-packed soil, roots, rocky ground, gardens, driveways, and seedbeds before grading, planting, or additional soil preparation. Available in 60", 72", 84", and 96" widths, it features adjustable, replaceable shanks with four depth settings providing approximately 6" to 10" of ground penetration. Reversible shanks allow ripping in forward or reverse, and additional shanks can be installed for closer tine spacing.

For more complete ground preparation, add the optional bolt-on finishing rake to help break apart clumps and smooth loosened soil as you work. Heavy-duty powder-coated construction, multiple tine configurations, and a universal skid steer mount make this ripper a versatile choice for agriculture, landscaping, driveway maintenance, and general site preparation.

Built for Ground Preparation

The Blue Diamond Skid Steer Ripper provides a straightforward mechanical solution for jobs where a bucket alone may struggle to penetrate hard ground. Its heavy-duty steel frame transfers the skid steer's power into the adjustable shanks, helping loosen compacted soil and expose buried roots and rocks before grading or additional soil preparation.

With no hydraulic connections or moving hydraulic components required, the attachment is simple to operate and easy to put to work.

Ideal Applications

  • Breaking hard-packed soil
  • Farm and field preparation
  • Garden preparation
  • Seedbed preparation
  • Driveway renovation
  • Loosening rocky ground
  • Root disruption
  • Preparing soil before grading
  • Landscape renovation
  • Property maintenance
  • Loosening previously undisturbed ground

Adjustable Ground Penetration

Different ground conditions require different levels of penetration. The Blue Diamond Skid Steer Ripper provides four tine depth settings, allowing operators to adjust the shanks from approximately 6" to 10" deep.

Use shallower settings for surface preparation and loosening material, or increase penetration when breaking hard-packed soil, disturbing roots, or preparing ground that hasn't been worked in years.

Configure the Tines for Your Application

The replaceable ripper shanks can be configured to match the width of the attachment and desired working pattern.

  • 60" and 72" models: 5 tines standard; accepts up to 9
  • 84" model: 6 tines standard; accepts up to 11
  • 96" model: 7 tines standard; accepts up to 13

Adding shanks allows operators to achieve closer spacing for more complete soil disturbance, while fewer shanks concentrate the machine's breakout force for tougher ground penetration.

Rip Forward or Reverse

The ripper shanks are reversible, giving operators the flexibility to work the attachment while traveling forward or backward.

This capability is especially useful when working around buildings, along driveways, near landscaping, or in other areas where maneuverability is limited. It also allows operators to select the direction that provides the best visibility and machine performance for the job.

Add a Finishing Rake

Breaking compacted ground is often only the first step in site preparation.

An optional bolt-on finishing rake can be added behind the ripper shanks to help break apart clumps of loosened soil and smooth the surface as the machine travels.

This combination allows the ripper to penetrate and loosen difficult ground while the finishing rake helps prepare the surface for applications such as:

  • Garden preparation
  • Seedbed preparation
  • Landscape renovation
  • Driveway maintenance
  • Lawn installation
  • General site preparation
