SIFT. SORT. CLEAR. LEVEL.

A skid steer rock bucket is designed to separate rocks, roots and larger debris from loose dirt while giving the operator a clear view of the material being handled. Blue Diamond rock buckets use an open-tine design with 3-inch spacing, allowing smaller material to fall through while larger material remains in the bucket.

The same attachment can do more than sift. The leading edge can skim high spots while the rear structure helps smooth loose material, allowing many Blue Diamond rock buckets to perform light raking, grading and land-plane work in addition to material separation.

ROCK BUCKET OR ROCK BUCKET GRAPPLE?

Choosing between the two designs starts with the material you need to handle.

Rock Bucket

Best when sifting and sorting are the priority.

A traditional rock bucket works well for scooping, screening and separating rocks and debris from soil. With no hydraulic grapple assembly, it also keeps the attachment simpler and lighter.

Rock Bucket Grapple

Best when you also need to grab and secure the load.

Hydraulic grapples add the ability to clamp rocks, brush, logs and irregular debris against the bucket. This provides greater material control during transport and expands the attachment into clearing and cleanup applications.

CHOOSE YOUR DUTY LEVEL

Rock Bucket – Standard & Extreme Duty

The Blue Diamond® Rock Bucket is the best choice when the primary goal is sifting, sorting and grading without the added weight or hydraulics of a grapple.

Standard Duty models use 3/8-inch tines, while Extreme Duty steps up to 1/2-inch tines for larger machines and more demanding applications. Both use 3-inch spacing between the tines and a closed-in quick-attach area that helps protect the operator from debris.

Best for: Rock removal, landscaping, grading, site preparation and material separation.

Why Choose It?

Simple design. Excellent visibility. Maximum focus on sifting.

Rock Bucket Grapple – Standard Duty

The Standard Duty Rock Bucket Grapple adds hydraulic gripping capability while keeping attachment weight appropriate for smaller skid steers. It uses 3/8-inch steel construction and 3-inch tine spacing and is designed for machines with up to approximately 1,500 lb lift capacity.

The bucket can sift, rake and perform light land-plane work while the grapple secures rocks, brush and debris during transport.

Best for: Landscaping, property maintenance, light clearing, rock removal and general cleanup.

Why Choose It?

Grapple capability without unnecessary weight for smaller machines.

Rock Bucket Grapple – Heavy Duty

The Heavy Duty Rock Bucket Grapple builds on the same open-bucket concept with 1/2-inch steel top clamps for increased gripping strength. Dual grapples secure irregular loads while the 3-inch tine spacing continues to separate rocks and debris from loose soil.

It provides a practical middle ground for operators who need more grapple strength than Standard Duty without moving into the heavier HDX or Severe Duty platforms.

Best for: Rock sifting, brush, debris handling, land clearing, landscaping and grading.

Why Choose It?

More gripping strength for everyday contractor use.

Rock Bucket Grapple – HDX

The Blue Diamond® HDX Rock Bucket Grapple is designed for higher-capacity skid steers and compact track loaders up to 75 HP or 3,000 lb lift capacity.

Its 72-inch design combines 3-inch tine spacing, dual 1/2-inch top clamps, fully welded hydraulic cylinders and upgraded cylinder and hose protection. The bucket can also be used as a land plane for light grading and site cleanup.

Best for: Rock sifting, land clearing, storm cleanup, grading and demanding material handling.

Why Choose HDX?

More machine capacity plus upgraded hydraulic protection.

Rock Bucket Grapple – Severe Duty

The Severe Duty Rock Bucket Grapple is built for skid steers and compact track loaders 50 HP and greater. Its 1/2-inch lower tines, reinforced top clamps and heavier structure are designed for repeated commercial use.

Removable bolt-on sides provide additional flexibility when handling logs and longer material, while open areas beside the quick-attach improve sifting. Protected hose routing and reinforced clamps help prepare the attachment for demanding clearing and material-handling applications.

Best for: Commercial land clearing, rocks, logs, heavy debris, site preparation and high-demand cleanup.

Why Choose Severe Duty?

Heavier construction for sustained professional use.

LEAVE MORE DIRT BEHIND

One of the primary advantages of a rock bucket is its ability to separate material as you work. The 3-inch spaces between the tines allow dirt and smaller material to fall through while retaining rocks, roots and larger debris.

This can reduce the amount of unnecessary soil moved from the work area and make the attachment useful for everything from preparing landscape beds to clearing construction sites.

With grapple-equipped models, operators can sift material and then secure what remains without changing attachments.

MORE THAN A SIFTING BUCKET

Blue Diamond skid steer rock buckets are suited for a wide range of applications:

  • Rock removal — separate and collect rocks while leaving loose soil behind.
  • Landscaping — clean planting areas, lawns and landscape sites.
  • Site preparation — remove rocks, roots and debris before finish work.
  • Raking and grading — skim high areas and smooth loose material.
  • Land clearing — grapple-equipped models can secure brush, roots and logs.
  • Storm cleanup — grab and move branches, rocks and mixed debris.
  • Construction cleanup — separate usable soil from jobsite debris.
  • Agriculture and property maintenance — clean fields, fence rows and work areas.
