The Blue Diamond® Extreme Duty Stump Grinder turns your skid steer or compact track loader into a powerful stump-removal machine. Its high-torque radial piston motor, heavy-duty 1" grinding wheel, and dual-direction cutting design put available hydraulic power to work for fast, productive grinding.
Available with 24" standard-flow or 26" high-flow grinding wheels, the Extreme Duty Stump Grinder covers machines from 16 to 45 GPM. Carbide Greenteeth® cut on both sides of the wheel, allowing the attachment to grind while moving forward or in reverse. An integrated cushioning mechanism helps protect the grinding wheel from overload, while the compact design provides excellent visibility to the work area.

High-Torque Radial Piston Motor
A stump grinder is only as productive as its ability to turn hydraulic power into usable cutting torque. The Extreme Duty Stump Grinder uses a radial piston motor with six motor configurations sized for specific hydraulic-flow ranges.
Matching the motor to the carrier helps keep the grinding wheel operating effectively whether the attachment is paired with a standard-flow skid steer or a higher-output compact track loader. Blue Diamond offers three 24" standard-flow configurations and three 26" high-flow configurations covering 16–45 GPM.
GRIND IN BOTH DIRECTIONS
Instead of requiring the operator to reset after every cutting pass, the Extreme Duty Stump Grinder uses carbide teeth on both sides of the grinding wheel. This allows the wheel to cut as the machine moves forward or in reverse.
The operator positions the wheel using the skid steer's loader arms and uses machine movement to feed the wheel through the stump. This straightforward operating method eliminates the need for a powered swing or telescoping system and keeps the attachment compact.

BUILT TO TAKE THE PRESSURE
Integrated Wheel Cushioning
Stump grinding creates unpredictable loads as the wheel encounters changing wood density, roots and soil. The grinder's cushioning mechanism allows the cutting assembly to flex when excessive pressure is applied.
This responsive design helps reduce wheel overload and protect the cutting system while the operator works through demanding material.
SIMPLE CUTTING-TOOTH MAINTENANCE
The Extreme Duty Stump Grinder uses one style of carbide cutting tooth across the wheel, helping simplify replacement-part inventory and maintenance.
The 24" wheel carries 24 teeth, while the 26" wheel carries 30 teeth. Each Greenteeth® cutting tooth can be rotated 180° as the cutting edge wears, providing another usable edge before replacement is required.
What hydraulic flow is required for the Blue Diamond Extreme Duty Stump Grinder?
Blue Diamond offers six stump grinder configurations covering 16 to 45 GPM. The 24" wheel is available for standard-flow machines from 16–29 GPM, while the 26" wheel is designed for high-flow machines from 29–45 GPM.
Can the Blue Diamond Stump Grinder cut in both directions?
Yes. Carbide cutting teeth are positioned on both sides of the wheel so the grinder can cut while the skid steer moves forward or in reverse.
How far below ground can the stump grinder cut?
The 1" thick grinding wheel is designed to cut approximately 12 inches below ground level, allowing the operator to remove the stump below finished grade.
Does the stump grinder require high flow?
Not necessarily. The 24" wheel is available in three standard-flow configurations beginning at 16 GPM. High-flow machines can use one of the three 26" configurations covering 29–45 GPM.
Does the stump grinder require electrical controls?
No. The Blue Diamond Extreme Duty Stump Grinder does not require an additional electrical hookup, although it does require a hydraulic case drain line.
What operator protection is required?
Blue Diamond specifies a minimum 1/2" thick polycarbonate operator-protection window. Some operating conditions may require additional protection.
